The Chevy Malibu is getting 32mpg I’m happy to report. Sunday morning I played radio roulette and got a yelling preacher, then I moved on to a calmer, decent preacher, but finally landed on NPR that was playing a conference conversation between Chuck Colson, Shane Claiborne, and Greg Boyd about how evangelical Christians are thinking and reaching out to the people around them. The intelligent, gracious, and civil round table was a stark contrast to the heaven/hell boards. Excellent.
I stopped to see the launch rocket at the rest area in AL. Cool.
Creativity and contemplative prayer needs lots of time and space.
Random thought: In the context of church work, my friend Jon W called me a “reformer.” Not a bad tag and certainly captures my general spirit.
I listened to First Things First by Stephen Covey. I read this book in the 90s and it rocked my personal life. Listening was a great reminder of the original material and how much I had integrated into my life and practices
