Sunday Hike and Monday Missional Interview
Sunday, Linda and I went to find a hidden waterfall. We had a nice two hour hike, but were unable to find it on a vast wild life area. (I forgot the directions). We just cruised around alot around the area.
Monday - Linda volunteered to give up her seat and scored a $400 voucher. So she hung out an extra day. I spent an hour and a half interviewing the pastor of a 54 year old traditional church that has become highly missional. 12 percent of total budget goes to missions. Half is for missionary support. Half goes to local missional ventures. They bought, found, and donated 30,000 books to create library in a nearby high poverty county. Did I mention this was a church of 400 in 2001 and now is about 650.
